I love that my job as a maternity and newborn photographer keeps me on my toes! Sometimes I’m roaming around in the great outdoors – which has me literally rolling on the ground getting the best shots – and sometimes I shoot in the private sanctuary of my studio, where the lighting is always perfect and there are zero distractions from the rest of the world. And air conditioning. We can’t forget the air conditioning in Alabama!
My recent maternity shoot with Courtney was the latter scenario. And let me tell you- neither of us was upset about being in the coolness of the studio! The studio was quiet and calm, and I was able to capture some truly gorgeous images (it helps that [Courtney] is stunning)!
I can’t get enough of this dress in these shots! It’s from the studio closet and Courtney was the first to wear it. She looked amazing And how about these images below? So CUTE! I think every mama-to-be should include pre-pregnancy jeans and a sports bra for one of their looks!
Courtney was nearing her due date when she decided she did want maternity portraits after all. She needs a round of applause, because getting photographer can be exhausting under normal circumstances, but at nine months pregnant!? She was a trooper, for sure. Not to mention that we did four different looks!

At the time of the shoot, Mama only had a few day left until she was due. Little man took his time though, and arrived a few weeks later. Courtney recently brought home an absolutely stunning baby boy! Join me in congratulating this sweet family on their newest addition. I’m so excited for you and your little one, Mom and Dad!
